Family Vacation

Every year the Reid family makes it a point to have a week of undisturbed and share pure bonding time together. And this is the day that the Reid family has planned a family vacation in Walt Disney World resort in Orlando Florida. Now that Rob is old enough to enjoy the park, it is high time for the family to take a family vacation where even the grownups can bring out the child in them. And where else can you go but the magical world of Disney itself.
Disney World resort has all the amenities that are truly for the whole family. They booked they’re hotel stay at the Disney Saratoga Springs resort and spa. This country style resort has all the benefits of a great vacation. It has a spa, a babysitting service, because Danielle and Jack have planned to have a romantic dinner during their stay in the resort. Included in their itinerary is a visit to Nemo’s sanctuary, “the Seas with Nemo and Friends”, the Monster Inc.’s laugh floor, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, to name some of the places they will visit.
Family vacations create a special memory that all the family will cherish. It will be itched in time and on the hearts of the people you love. It builds harmony and respect and family vacations recharges the balance in your life, it strengthen family ties, your love for one another it makes you a more centered individual. You go home with a new perspective in life and work. Now you can face life and work’s challenges with a new light. This is what family vacation does to the family and the individual involved in your circle.

Birthday Prep for Rob’s 7th

Danielle has been planning for months now for Rob’s birthday. The concept and the theme of the party which her son would like to have in his 7th birthday. And because Rob liked Buzz Lightyear who else would grace Danielle’s son birthday party but Buzz himself. The theme of the party is the famous Buzz Lightyear space adventure in Disney’s animated show. The color decorations are lime or neon green for that matter, orange, blue and turquoise. Danielle has turned their backyard garden into one big theme party event for Rob’s birthday. All his friends in school and in the neighborhood are invited. The invitation is appropriately themed to be a Buzz Lightyear party adventure. And the decorations that adorned the place are a giant drawing of Buzz’s cannon, complete with stars and spaceship and galaxies, and the character himself. Danielle created a picture booth which will be taken by Danielle’s colleague in the museum their resident photographer Mike.
Danielle also set up a Star Command Control Center wherein guest are welcomed by the animated character at Buzz’ show and in here kids could have a great time in coloring the Disney Pixar activity book that has been laid in the table while waiting for other guest to arrive. There are a lot of fun and surprises in this party. And the food is taken care of by Danielle’s husband Jack. The cake is of themed with Buzz of course it green. The food is great appropriate for the kids. This party is a success of course there are no perfect party but all went home with smile on their faces and of course this party will be one of those happy moments that you all shared as a family.

2 Things I Couldn’t Do Without

Working in the museum of Natural History as a historian is a job that requires time and attention to details. Danielle spend much of her day at the office or in the field either talking to scientist, archeologist, students and clients. The life in the museum is vibrant and demanding. Danielle is always on the go, chasing one task after the other or meeting people.

And because of her schedule it is important that her staff and her family reach her whenever she is or whatever she is doing. That is why her iPhone is important to her she couldn’t leave the house without this fantastic gadget in her purse. With this she feels secure that her family could keep in touch with her any time and she could check and vice versa. The iPhone is a versatile piece of gadget that fits Danielle lifestyle.

It can store her appointments, she can virtually see and monitor her son via the 3G technology, and it can send email and keeps her files in sync with her office. It’s like having her private secretary in a handy way. Another gadget Danielle couldn’t do without is her laptop; it is where she keeps all her documentations in work. This amazing gadget is so thin and has a wireless innovation so whenever she goes especially if she’s giving a presentation, attending a seminar or giving a seminar herself it is easy to take important notes in with her laptop. This gadget helps her in her day to day activity whether it is in the office or in the home this marvelous technology keeps her updated.

Christmas Stress

As this season brings joy to everyone, together with the holiday is the stress it brings a working mom. With all the happenings at the museum Danielle could easily feel the tool on her. She always stays out late for the great event that every year the museum organizes, Christmas shopping and tons of wrapping up to do before the year ends.
This thing has taken its toll on her. She’s becoming irritable on small things, often going home with headache. The stress of the holidays has bitten her. She doesn’t want to be scrooge to her employees it’s just that there are so many things to do and are required of her. Oh, she thought that this will add another frown line in her face and holiday stress in creating havoc in the body, it is also great in creating a little spark of misunderstanding with Jack. Add to stress is a little misunderstanding she and Jack had this morning just a little fact on who’s going to get the clothes from the cleaners.
Stress could be a great factor in firing up emotions and taking an emotional toll on an individual. It could affect the quality of work and your relationship with your love ones, it could also affect your health, in Danielle case her migraines is attacking her badly making her in a foul mood all the time. She silently thought this has got to end I may break if this continues to escalate, she mused. I need to compose myself and ride the tides of this season hectic schedule and after which the museum will close for weeks and I’ll ask Jack to have a vacation with me, she thought.

What I Want For Christmas

Christmas is the time where giving and parties abound, listing the things to be done, parties to attend and gifts to give to colleagues and love ones. With the entire hectic schedule Christmas is just around the corner. Danielle has spent some time shopping and wrapping the gifts that she just bought. It’s a secret though she just sneaks in the gifts so that her son would not notice it. Danielle has been very busy at work too with the entire charity event and the launch of a new section in the museum. Silently she wished that this Christmas someone would give her a honeymoon vacation complete with a spa treatment to relieve the holiday stress.
Danielle just went on with all her daily activities as the yuletide approaches her silent prayer has yet to come. Jack was thinking of the perfect gift to give her wife. Would it be a pair of Bulgari earrings or other jewelry, a new watch perhaps, perfume, dress or what? Jack wanted the perfect gift for her. Is it in this stage that Danielle came in, feeling exhausted and tired, then Jack suddenly had an idea what would be the perfect gift for his wife a ticket for two to the lovely Island of Hawaii. Yes, after all they both deserve a relaxing time off from their hectic jobs.
Christmas morning the time of giving gifts Jack and Danielle gather around in the tree with camera on hand exchange gifts, when suddenly Jack gave her a lovely box with red ribbon and to her surprise she saw the most wonderful gift she had a trip to the Hawaiian island. She told her husband how you knew that this is what I want for Christmas. All Jack could answer is just a smile.

Trouble In The Kitchen

Danielle went home early from work. Thank God the meeting from an important patron of the museum ended up early. Danielle made a v-line to the grocery and gets all the ingredients that would make the perfect roast pork, a recipe she read from some cook book, she wanted to surprise Jack. Now there is a little problem on the side. Danielle no matter how brilliant and adoring she is she has one handicap when it comes to cooking and baking. Though she could cook simple dishes, whenever she tries her hand at cooking or baking she ends up with a disaster. You see Jack is the cook in the family; he works as a sous chief in one of the local restaurants. So whenever Danielle finds time to in her hands she would like to learn new things like cooking. It’s in her nature to try things out and to improve her skills.
So the ingredients in hand and paid for at the counter and finally heading home. She could picture the pork roast in the oven roasting it to perfection with all the trimmings on the side. She would also prepare a special salad that Jack thought her and she envisioned how that pork roast would be the highlight of their dinner.
She was greeted by her adorable son Rob who was excited to tell the story about what he learned from school. And while he changed to tackle the dinner in mind Rob kept her company in the kitchen. All preparations have been done dinner is in the oven. A couple of minutes and it’s done.
Dinner time the verdict on the pork roast. The roast is tough verging to burnt meat and still raw inside. Her husband did not say anything but Danielle felt defeated another mistake in the kitchen. Her husband consoled her saying she’ll get it next time. Danielle cried and felt bad for herself. Thinking another kitchen mishap was added in her strings of kitchen troubles.
